Opening its doors in Fall 2018, The LEGOLAND Discovery Center is now a popular family-friendly attraction for residents of the Columbus area. This entirely indoor attraction is open year-round but be warned – adults MUST be accompanied by at least one child (aged 17 and under) to visit! When we said “family-friendly”, we meant it as the Discovery Center is intended to be enjoyed as a family. Once a month, adults can enjoy a themed-evening of “no kids allowed” fun, but the real joy of this attraction is making memories WITH your children.

LEGOLAND Columbus

Following in the footsteps of the much larger destinations in California and Florida, the LEGOLAND Columbus has themed zones (10 in total) that offer a different variety of LEGO-inspired fun! If you have visited either of the bigger parks, you will notice that there is a lack of the true thrill rides that those indoor/outdoor parks can provide. But for families in Columbus who can only dream of visiting the sunny coasts of our country, this a great alternative and may have them forgetting about your promise to visit a certain Mouse’s House in the near future! The themed zones include a LEGO 4D Cinema, a Factory Tour, a Creative Workshop, and a Play Area. Yet the most popular zones are the more thrilling rides from Kingdom Quest, a laser-gun ride where your family zaps trolls and skeletons to save the princess, to Merlin’s Apprentice Ride, a pedal cart ride where the goal is to become a wizard yourself!

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus is open 365 days a year! Standard hours are 10:00AM to 7:00PM with the last entry being allowed at 5:00PM, as they advise to allow at least two hours for your visit. Yet if you are looking for things to do in Columbus, Ohio this Spring Break, you are in luck. The Discovery Center will be open for extended hours.
